Recalibrate

Sitting above Corran Sands, at the gateway to the Paps in the crofting settlement of Knockrome, we have built Bothan Jura Retreat as a space to unwind, reconnect and explore the wild landscapes of the Isle of Jura. For us as much as you.

All our accommodation come with wood fired hot tubs, the cottage has a sauna and on site we have a chilled, filtered ice barrel, pizza ovens, fire pit and telescope for guests to use.

There's a library of books to browse and read and a workshop/ studio space ready later this year for meditation, yoga, a game of pool or table tennis, or just a place to meet other folk and chew the fat as the storms blow out across the bay and the sun beckons you outside again.

It's a place we call home and a place we love.

Pi & Lynton

George Orwell wrote his final masterpiece, 1984, on Jura. He wanted a remote place, unreachable by vehicle. He described it famously as

"An extremely un-get-atable place"
